【Introduction】Limited Edition and Rarity: ALB Models is renowned for its small-scale, handcrafted productions. This 1/200 scale all-metal die-cast model features a paint job that accurately replicates the classic style of China Airlines from the 1960s and 70s, making it highly collectible. Historical Significance: A milestone model in China Airlines' transition to the jet airliner era, and the predecessor to the later "Air Force One". 【The Beginning of the Jet Era: China Airlines Boeing 727-100】 This model recreates the legendary airliner with fuselage number B-1820. The Boeing 727 was a crucial indicator of China Airlines' transition from the propeller era to the jet era. B-1820 rolled off the production line in September 1967 and entered service with China Airlines, serving until 1982 when it was resold to the Republic of China Air Force (renamed 2722). [From Passenger Plane to Presidential Aircraft] The B-1820 (2722), during its service with the Air Force, replaced the retired Boeing 720 "China-US" in 1991, officially becoming the presidential executive aircraft, serving several heads of state including Lee Teng-hui. Currently, the actual aircraft has been retrieved and refurbished by the Air Force and is displayed at Ching Chuan Kang Air Base. This model is not only a civilian aircraft but also a microcosm of Taiwan's aviation history and the culture of presidential aircraft.
